Mariam is a Partner at Matouk Bassiouny with considerable experience in the areas of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. She has also expertise in setting-up joint ventures and new projects in Egypt, as well as ensuring compliance with local laws and corporate governance and covering all aspects of investing and doing business in Egypt.
Practice Focus
As a member of the corporate/M&A team, Mariam focuses on advising private sector companies on mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), due diligence, companies’ formation and administration, corporate governance and corporate secretarial work. She also focuses on drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts and transaction-related documents including, share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, escrow agreements, management agreements and disclosure documents.
