Faten is a Partner at Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy and a member of the Finance and Projects practice group. She joined MBH following a distinguished career spanning over a decade at the leading renowned law firm in Paris, Gide Loyrette Nouel, and is qualified in both Egypt and France.

With ten years of experience in one of the world’s most sophisticated legal hubs, Faten brings extensive international expertise to the emerging markets of the region. She advises lenders, including credit institutions, multilateral institutions, insurance companies, and debt funds, as well as borrowers such as SPVs, corporates, real estate companies, and investment funds, on a wide range of financing transactions. Her experience includes project finance, real estate finance, LBOs, bond issuances, corporate financing, as well as structuring and restructuring of debt. She has worked on major local and cross-border transactions in France, Egypt, and other jurisdictions in EMEA.

Faten’s practice focuses on banking and financing transactions across Africa, including project finance, real estate finance, structured finance, corporate lending and debt restructuring, with particular expertise in infrastructure, energy, transport and real estate sectors.

    • Representation of Vinci and Bouygues in connection with the financing offer submitted in the context of the bid for the concession for the financing and renovation of Stade de France.
    • Representation of the sponsors in connection with the financing of the construction and maintenance of a petrochemical facility in Arzew, Algeria.
    • Representation of the sponsors in connection with the refinancing of the concession of the A88 highway in France by way of project bonds issuance.
