Selected Recent Experience
  • Representation of Sony Pictures in connection with a complex debt recovery claim leading to a successful multi-million US Dollar recovery involving, inter alia, a ground-breaking trademark enforcement action against the debtor company. This case is a watershed case for intellectual property rights in Egypt as it marks the first successful enforcement against a trademark and tradename in the Egyptian market.
  • Representation of Volkswagen Group member Skoda Auto before Egyptian courts as well as the Egyptian Consumer Protection and Competition authorities in connection with a USD 225 Million dispute involving the termination of a contractual distributorship with an Egyptian distributor.
  • Successful representation of Airbus before the Egyptian courts and successfully blocked two complex airline accident compensation claims filed by the heirs of the deceased in connection with a major aviation crash involving the major Egyptian airline authorities. In furtherance, we managed to obtain an appeal court judgment upholding the first instance court judgment.
  • Representation of a US NGO in connection with a labor dispute. Dispute value: USD 2.8 million.
  • Representation of a major European wind power company in connection with an employment dispute arising from a compensation claim by 4 employees, we managed to significantly decrease the compensation cost.
