Mariam is a Counsel in Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy’s dispute resolution practice group. She has been practicing dispute resolution since 2014. Before joining Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy, she worked at Ibrachy & Demarkar Law Firm. She is admitted before the Egyptian Bar Association and is a holder of an LL.M. in Public Law and Criminal Law.

Mariam practices, both plaintiff and defendant work as well as settlement negotiations and general client advisory/assessment work, in civil and commercial disputes with an industry focus on FMCG, pharmaceuticals, commercial agency, distribution, technology transfer, intellectual property, employment, and construction. She also practices in the enforcement of foreign commercial awards in Egypt.

She regularly advises major and multinational clients across multiple sectors such as Skoda, Clarks, Agilent, Danone Nutricia, Aldahra, Biotronik, BCBG Max Azria, Syngenta, and Cargill.
